I have read your bio and although I know it intimately, I am so impressed. With out a doubt, I do not know anyone that has taken so many shots in life, brushed himself off and continued to excel. You were an inspiration and my driver as a kid, during my short boxing career and even into my professional football career. Of course, I am very proud of you. Good luck in your next, and hopefully last fight. Your Bro, Brent.

Hi, Gord. Well, my brother Gord; would I expect anything less. Well there were a few things in there (in your autobio) I did not know. You, my friend, are always an inspiration. What a great story. I think you should continue to flesh it out. You have a gift for narrative and you should nurture it. See you soon. You know my number. P.S. I graduate with a BA in Leadership in July. You showed me it's never too late to go to school...or do anything.

Good luck on your next fight in the 5th decade. I was at two of your previous decade fights. I always thought you were the toughest guy in Port Alberni and possibly the world and was shocked and disappointed when you were beaten by Berbick. You must have a pretty incredible set of genetics to be able to keep fighting at that level when the rest of us mere mortals are lucky if we can muster the strength to play a rousing game of bridge. Good luck in your next fight and in all the best for you in life as well.
